[TYPO3-dev] typo graphics classes for external use

hi...

i would like to use the graphical functions, especially combined with 
the use of typoscript for external use.

i.e. i got an array with words and want it to be processed like a GMENU 
with all it's ts-features to output several named graphics.

anyone a hook or an idea where to start?
