[TYPO3-dev] extension key

Hi list,

i will integrate smarty to the lib/div-project. For this I use the extension 
"smarty" from
Peter Knoell. Unfortunally the last update is 2 years ago.

So I tried to contact him with several email adresses, but no reaction.

I don't like to create a new extension doing exactly the same, so is there 
any possibilities that i can maintain this key ?
Does anyone know Peter or is in contact with him ?
