Hello,

During T3DD06 quite some people showed interest in my extension "kb_shop"
which easily could get called "kbsimtas" "kb_shop_is_more_than_a_shop" :)

First of all it is a "table kickstarter" which allows you to create your
own tables and add fields to them - each table can get modified after creation
not like in the kickstarter where you loose most of your custom modifications.

Secondly it is some kind of general data display extension like Francois Suter
talked about at the T3DD ...

And third it is also a shop as it features ordering forms (also neatly fitted
into the concept).

To get a glimpse overview of what kb_shop can do you can either look at the
video I recorded:

http://home.astrakan.hig.se/staffan/kb_shop/

(Warning: This was for the first version of the shop - you could only have one
table/category)

Or just read the start of the manual:

http://typo3xdev.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/*checkout*/typo3xdev/tx_kbshop/trunk/doc/manual.sxw?revision=3998

I wanted to inform those of you who showed interest - and of course also others -
which where not on T3DD but also interested that the kb_shop extension get's
developed (or at least regulary updated) at the typo3xdev SVN at sf.net:

http://typo3xdev.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/typo3xdev/tx_kbshop/trunk/

or to check out:

svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/typo3xdev/tx_kbshop/trunk kb_shop

(Please make sure that the extension directory is called "kb_shop" when installing)

Additional add-ons (like the "empty" configuration extension or the shop-mailer - for
sending recipt mails to customer and order mails to shop-owner) can get retrieved from
here:

http://think-open.org/kraftb/index/T3X_kb_shopconf.t3x
and here:
http://think-open.org/kraftb/index/T3X_kb_shop_mailer-0_0_0.t3x

until they are also in SVN ...

greets,
Bernhard
