The baseline of 6 req/s is certainly true for completely uncached 
results, otherwise 50 req/s is average with a PHP cache running.

I guess 500-700 req/s is a realistic estimate for Bernhard's 
enhancements with a PHP cache. I don't have a proper setup at hand right 
now.
