[TYPO3-dev] Unset a field in the page properties?

Hi!

I have an extension that extends the pages table with a new field. It's
a database relation to a table that contains person records. The field
in the page settings is used to save a contact person for this page.

When I create a new page, no person is set. But if I once set a person,
I cannot wipe out this selection. The only solution I found is to use
phpmyadmin and manually clean this field.

What's the trick to do this? I couldn't find it yet. Any help is very
appreciated!
