[TYPO3-dev] standard TYPO3 ajax framework

Hi!
I would like to know, whether there is a discussion / result about a
possible __standard__ ajax framework used by TYPO3?

In my opinion, it's neccessary not to use many frameworks, but to focus
on one, and maybe get it into core in the future.

Why to choose a standard framework? It would be confusing, if we have
hundreds of frameworks as extensions. If you want to use some ajax
features, you would have to install many different frameworks, because
every dev used his favourite one.. This would take a lot of time to
understand (which ext uses which framework / how to code something for
these exts...), would take a lot of memory and would decrease the speed
of TYPO3 enormously.

Why do i ask?
see wiki entry > projects > starting page

What should a standard framework can do (in my opinion)?
Such a stanard framework should:
1) be fast.. very very fast
2) configurable
3) somehow intelligent... it would be great, if such a framework would
not include all of its scripts by default, but when they are needed
4) usable in FE __and__ BE
5) .....

Just my 2 cents on the ajax topic.

Andreas

P.S.: Keep on coding :)
