[TYPO3-dev] OT: mysql fulltext question

Hi list,

sorry for coming here for this but i thought before i go to YAL i try it 
here quickly:

i work with mysql fulltext right now and would like to find "apple" 
within "pineappletree" for example. Unfortunatly that doesent seem to 
work - apple* just findes appletree etc.. but not "pineappletree". I 
even don´t know how to find the apple in "pineapple".

Am i missing something? Is it possible to finde "apple" within 
"pineappletree" with mysql fulltext and asterisks?

I searched the net but no answer yet ;)
