[TYPO3-dev] EXT sr_feuser_register: allow/stop user registration

Hi all,

my frontend users should be enabled to register to the site. I would
like to limit fe registration to a list of known users (stored in a DB
table), instead of allowing anybody to register.

I am using sr_feuser_register to handle the fe registration process.
In case the user is not in the list of known users, the registration
process should stop before the confirmation email gets sent.

I know I can use the registrationProcess_beforeConfirmCreate hook before
the preview is outputted to the user. Unfortunately I can't stop the
registration process from that hook, since it can't return a true/false
condition to sr_feuser_register.

Any ideas of how I can stop the registration process of unknown users?
