Hi Jeff,

I understand the idea of binding categories to a calendar, but I don't
think it the best of all solutions.

a) It's not a real tree like in dam or tt_news
b) The behaviour differs from other extensions.

I propose to do it like dam /tt_news:

a) You have the possibility to configure a branch of the category tree for
each calendar. So you can reach the same goal like with the current model
if you like. But you can choose other possibilities.

b) You can use the existing code.

c) It's more simple to migrate to global categories. I expect we will get
global categories within this year. In 5.x they will probably be part of
the core from the very beginning.

Regards

Elmar
