And this discussion is far beyond the point where I think the commercial
companies by now generating quite large sums of money of typo3 fails
completely.
I´m aware that this thread is primarily addressed at a community which
mostly consists of people using typo3 from a non commercial perspective, but
the issues in regard of funding and Kasper directly HIRING someone to take
care of the organizational day-to-day business/coaching shouldn´t be an
issue. I´d expect those companies shurely would donate a lot more
money/organizational assistance and advice to the keyperson(s) maintaining
and developing the system on which their business rely on completely. I wont
go into an argumentation regarding the benefits and and misfits of the
Association structure, but seen from my chair I think it would be an
essential investement in one´s own future to generate enough (by the way
tax-deductable) funding for the Assoiciation to hire at least 3-4 permanent
EMPLOYEES. Emplyees who could assist Kasper in developing and especially
organizing the future of typo3 - just like other "enterprise" organizations
have. - And a random thought from my point of view suggests it might be wise
of Kasper to hire these people from "outside" the existing typo3 community
and association in order to maintain complete control and objectiveness in
the daily day-to-day business.
Don´t misunderstand me - I´m not trying to turn Kasper or typo3 into a
company, but I´m saying that if it´s necessary to hire people, it should be
possible for him on a more permanent basis - it´s still a small-scale
investement if 15-30 companies chipped in and trusted him/association 100%
with the funds instead of trying to buy influence on future development.

Please show some respect - also in a monetary way...

regards
