+1

I have the feeling, as some other mentioned in her posts, that a kind of
feedback can be very very motivating. Currently it's the sad truth that
contributions are mostly taken for granted. That's not a nice situation
for all of the people who invest their time and efforts make TYPO3 better.

Even if it is just a small patch, a documentation, tutorial or whatever.
The ones who are in the project for a longer time has learned to handle
that (even if it is still not very nice) but to find more people who are
willing to help and contribute we have to learn to give them their five
minutes of fame. I think that's one of the reasons why there are so much
redundant extensions in the TER. Just to be recognized by the community.
and maybe be the "big guys".

I'm not the one that tries to stand in the first row. I release my
extensions and patches just to make TYPO3 better. And I hope that
someone else recognize it, use it and benefits from it. Currently I'm in
the situation that I don't have to earn money from TYPO3. And so, all I
expect is a "Thanks" from time to time. Just to keep me motivated to go
further. On the other hand I know, that the "big guys" are very very
busy. And I also know that there are a lot of people that works much
harder and give more than me.

Sometimes I think about to write someone from the core team if they need
help or what they think this or that. (Keywords: dynaflex or evalAPI)
But than I think it doesn't worth it because I don't even get an answer
in the past. And that is the point as I think...
In my opinion it would be nice to have a contact team that takes
questions and stuff from the community, orders it and give answers or
forward things to the responsible person.
On the one hand this would take some workload from the developers,
designers and docTeam and the communication between the "normal"
community developers and the "big guys" would be much more effective.
Ok, I have to say that I only can speak for myself as an developer who
is interested in the core and the stuff arround it. But I think this
could be adapted for the other parts of TYPO3 as well.

I hope you got my main points even if my thoughts are a little confusing
and chaotic. ;-)

Greets,
Thomas
