Concerning those two I must say that almost every site has little differences. Meaning
one site needs a field "birthdate" in a FE-User record another site doesn't. You can't
cope with all those needs and I came to the conclusion that I always have to do a little
development to taylor the existing FE-User extensions to the needs of my customer.

The problem with most of the extensions is that they are NOT in some kinf of CVS (like
typo3xdev) and only ONE extension developer has the possibility to change code of the
extension.

for this one there would be a few needed extensions (like having the possibility to select
exact criteria to whom a newsletter is sent - i.e: Send a newsletter to all females whose
first number of their ZIP-code is 12)

If you have some other nice ideas of what could be required mail them to me offlist.

There are also many different possibilites what can be mean't by that. One thinks of a single-
sign on as something which "shares" the login between all his "Webapplications" ... Another
one (like me) goes a step further and thinks of single-sign-on as a method of just signing
on on the (MS-Windows) workstation and being logged in into some Webapps automatically using
the Windows-Login credentials.

If you are interested in working together on this last item (SSO) you should contact me offlist
for further talks what you require and if I can help you out (I'm working on a easy-to-use SSO
extension for the intranet of a customer ...)

greets,
Bernhard
