[Typo3-dev] Info metatags

Hi all,
I have a doubt about use of page.meta property.

If I  use the following code in template: 
page.meta.DESCRIPTION = foo & bar

the HTML source is:
<meta name="DESCRIPTION" content="foo &amp; bar" />

Is it possible  to disable the conversion & -> &amp; ?
I tried to use the stdwrap property on page.meta.DESCRIPTION but I'm
not able to  do a sort of un-htmlspecialchars

I have the same problem with page.meta.KEYWORDS and with
config.titleTagFunction
