This could create all the necessary links and directories and the 
localconf.php. It would be nice if it would fill in all the necessary 
Typo3 parameters the install tool reads from and writes to 
typo3conf/localconf.php. This would make an installation much easyer.
Do not forget that computer magazines sometimes provide Typo3 on their 
DVDs and many user do not want to read books before they are able to 
install and configure it. They want to install Typo3 at one click and 
try it out immediately without any configuration job to do.

Autoconf is an enhancement to a makefile or a script, because it creates 
this makefile according to the local Linux installation.

The typo3-source.zip does not contain all the folders and files.
