Perhaps.
Anyway, I don't think TYPO3 will and it IMHO should not change the current
DB layout. If anyone wants he or she can try to create an extension for
that. If necessary you'll probably get some hooks.
Just set in on the list of the mythical TYPO3 NG ;-)
