Actually it didn't work !!! Of course I tried it first !
And remember that I couldn't even get into the BE.

It took me only less that 1 hour to solve the problem and get everything
work. But it was because I knew what I was doing.

It should be explained somewhere in documentation where extensions are
explained. Maybe Inside Typo3 (new version needed also for other reasons).
Description ? Actually this shouldn't happen ! It's an accident, OK,
like You said (at the end) in future shouldn't happen.
I'll try to write something during Eastern.

Maybe also that please use only stable extensions, all others with your
own risk and don't ask help (including TV !!!) ;-)

Not on this list. It's already used wrongly so much.

or database ;-)

Actually I had a very very peculiar situation before. Suddendly sys_stat
table was unusable in one of our databases. (corrupted) It caused only
some error code at the end of each page (not even disturbing anything
much). I just dropped it out manually and created a new empty. And voila
everything worked, site saved.
Actually I'm just preparing new servers both harware and software, and
thus I noticed that;
a) Browser Compatibility Chart is very outdated
b) there should be a barometer; what are the oldest and newest versions
of related applications workable with Typo3, e.g. apache oldest 1.3.x to
1.3.33 and 2.0.x - 2.0.xx ; php 4.1.2 -4.3.x; IM 4.2.9 - z.x.y
this should be on installation/download page preferably with links to progs.

At the same time there should be some other things done also. Like date
of different revisions, shorted names of extensions etc. And languages,
languages, ... This relates also to repository development.
