Versioning - is this ready for prime time?

Anything that needs to be done for DBAL and DAM?

Well to me it is serious that css_styled_content uses so many tables ;-)

Seriously, I don't think it's possible to address all xhtml and 
accessibililty issues in TYPO3 soon, but I'd appreciate if we could at least 
get some improvements into 3.8.

I'd say make the first RC-period at least last two weeks. Then decide if 
there will be a second (and a third, etc).

If the announcment is proper worder (encourages usage, list of new features, 
points to docs/resources), then also non-devs will install it.Which is IMHO 
the goal, because only then there is a chance to get as many reports as 
possible.
