I agree with Andreas and Thomas.

OTOH, changing the BE in such a matter really seems to be a rewrite. 
Perhaps the refactoring gurus can prove me wrong, but the above 
suggestions would mean a 3rd generation of TYPO3 UI. Which means very 
much work.
