[Typo3-dev] Alternative to hooks - fake "$this"

I have another thing we should do:
- whereever a function does not refer to $this it should be put in a 
non-instantiated class of library functions...

This will reduce the size of class by removing the functions which 
aren't really methods of the object but just things the object needs to do
