[Typo3-dev] tt_news "default" searching

Hi!

I've posted this message top the user list, but i didn't get any answer
so maybe it's the better list to ask this:

I'd like to ask for your help w/ tt_news 1.7.0. We'll have many news on
a website and i want to provide many "views" on them. I know i can use
the categories to display a subset of them, but i'd need a more
flexible, eg display a result of search automatically when the user
clicks on a menuitem w/o needed to fill the searchorm by the user - so
when an instance of the plugin is loaded.

I'd need something like 

plugin.tt_news.sword = something
plugin.tt_news.showSearchPanel = 0

to put into an extension template of the menuitem, and it would couse
the plugin to automatically perform a search w/ the word "something" and
displaying the results w/o the search form. 

Can you help me please where should i look for a solution? I've read the
extension manual and seems there's no configuration for this. Is there a
workaround or should i contact the maintainers and make a patch? I also
heard about a tt_news realted list, but i couldn't find the address of
that.
