[Typo3-dev] Reference-element idea.

The "reference" you are talking about is already there: It's called
"startingpoint".
If you want to use selected database entries like in your example, you
simply put these entries on a special page (sysfolder, standard page or
whatever).
If there is no startingpoint selected the current page is used to get the
entries. All entries are still in one table (like tt_adress) but you will
only get those with a pid matching the startingpoint.

IMHO this is a working solution for the problem you described. But maybe I
got you wrong ...
