[Typo3-dev] CVS realURL and 3.6.1

after lot of headache to make the CVS realURL extension work with typo3 
3.6.1, i gave up

i did everything the doc says... but at last went back to the official 
(january) released version..

in the changelog there is a:
* All document, but some features depends on TYPO3 3.7.0-dev+

so i think i should wait for 3.7?

did anybody succeded to make it work with 3.6.1?
