But to me it looks like the way to go to provide such an "access" for
developpers.

I don't know what is required to get a XML-RPC/soap inteface between say,
Eclipse and TYPO3 but in the ling run I can even imagine a way to write
stuff in OOo or Eclipse and even write in tt_content.

Color coding, indentation, search and replace are all "natural" feature of a
text editor like SciTE (yummy... text folding for structures, procedures,
and classes! A must.)

Maybe I'm just dreaming...
