[Typo3-dev] Strictformmail bug?

Hi there,

I have been plowing through the tutorials and have been able to get my 
site up and running internally using the Modern Template Building and 
other manuals.

I am now having problems with formmail on my site.

I am running the site on a MacOSX machine and have configured Sendmail 
and php.ini in order to be able to mail from the form.  However, there 
are two major issues:

First:  The send-to e-mail address is visible in clear text in the 
source of the page, thus open for spambots.  I have found the 
Javascript trick to split it up in order to hide it, but according to 
that page (http://mbaierl.com/Mailforms_and_Spam.390.0.html), the issue 
was fixed in 3.6.0.  It is not in my setup (MacOSX binary 3.6.1).

Second: in order to get the formmail working I had to set the 
strictformmail to 0.  I could e-mail from the test at test.test but not 
the mail form if I left it at 1.  Doesn't this leave the installation 
open for spam relays?
