[Typo3-dev] page parsing

hi,

i will develop a glossary. data gathering is done like in the 
player_profile extension. there should be no problem to display the 
records in one page.

but how is the right way to parse the whole content for entries in the 
glossary table and replace it with the description.

one way i can imagine is to parse the page via a include_libs script. is 
there a better way to do this?
