To be honest I'm surprised to be called my above posting as 
disrespectful. It's short and sloppy in style, yes. But it was not meant 
to degrade you and/or your work.

As for various ways to to developing on CVS, as far as I understood the 
whole idea was to move the driect mailer *out of* the Core. So I thought 
   it to be natural to use a different CVS or a different dir with a CVS.

How can the direct mailer extension evolve as a separate extesions if 
it's still entablged via CVS tags in the Core CVS?
