[Typo3-dev] DBAL and postgres

Hello

At first some questions: Is XPATH in SQL a standart? I only know that 
postgres supports pathexpressions for nested (NFNF) Tables? Using XPATH 
for databasequeries sound much like better using XQUERY?

I thought of some XML - Tools for Typo3 containing something like:
-> At first a configurator for all external XML Tools (Means XSLT 
processor, XMLDB etc..)
-> DBAL for XQUERY
-> Class for XSLT and souch stuff

I plan to invest more time on this after my vacances in august, what do 
you thing about that? I thing it makes no sense to implement XPATH stuff 
in TYPO3 DBAL because it is just something diffrent.
