thanks! I think this is the same as the render_text() function from 
cssd. I integrated it into my script but it won`t work for some reason.

look at it but please don`t laugh to loud ;-). I`m sure a lot of the 
things I did can be done _much_ easier if one knows the right typo-tools 
for the job.
