Keep in mind that mod_php is not 100% thread safe with Apache2 MPM
worker. So stress testing is a good idea before you get on the air.
Better use [fast]CGI, which should work as in some environments:

don't touch the TYPO3 debian src-packages from the Debian
testing/unstable or the Ubuntu breezy/dapper repository. They are pretty
insecure.
imho typo3-site-installer is not stable.
