[Typo3-debian] magic_quotes_runtime and index search

Hi,

This is my first post here. I apologize if the question was already asked before.

I have this problem:

I have an issue on Linux Debian Sarge and magic_quotes_runtime = Off in php.ini. Everything works fine expect index search plugin.

This one only works when magic_quotes_runtime = On, but then the pagetree in the backend env. doesn't work anymore, and I have some other problem (menu tree, ...)

I have looked at class.indexer.php by setting set_magic_quotes-runtime(1) (whereas magic_quotes_runtime = Off in php.ini) but It doesn't seem to work.

Is this a known bug ? Any clue ?
