Why remove it? It's simply outdated software in the testing repository.
Everyone using etch in this early stage should know this!
Btw. there's already a Debian bugreport about this. I just tried to
change the severity to 'grave' because of security leaks. This bug then
should keep the package from getting into stable. Bugreporting in Debian
is sometimes tricky, ... just like good old majordomo days.

I didn't get it. What consequences does that have for TYPO3?
Except you are asked for a clear statement about how long a branch will
be officially supported. (like 3.8 is kept up to date with 3.8.1)
I am sure 4.0 will be out before etch is stable. Maybe even 4.5. So what
are the supporting plans for 4.x branches?
