Well, PHP4 wasn`t compiled with experimental stage ZTS all the time before -
just for the short time of debian-PHP-package versions 4.3.10-3 to 4.3.10-9
- mainly because of some caudium users whishlist upstream..
Thanks to both great debian package maintainers , Adam Conrad and Steve
Langasek , that understood upstream's claim for a stable und widely
expandable (incl. Zend`s expensive products as well as many other
third-party php modules..) module solution, were now enjoying the best php
packages on this planet again. :)
As far as i know and tested, ZTS compiled binaries supply no
downward-compatibly - another point, why i personally dislike the *current*
ZTS implementation..
So the module has to be recompiled from source with a NON-ZTS PHP as far as
i can tell you.
