[Typo3-debian] What does the debian packages install?

I didn't set dependencies to a specific version, because TYPO3 works with
almost any release.

If you install it on Woody, then everything will work fine.

If you use another Debian release it will also work, but maybe some image
settings may be optimized for the newer ImageMagick (in the case of Sid)...

Why? That's not a change, that's a feature!
Just run 'apt-cache show typo3-base' and see what you get :-)
