[Typo3-UG CH] Install on virtual server - question

I want to install Typo3 on a virtual, shared server (Pair.com) but they
don't allow you to create MySQL databases from a program. I can't get root
access to the server because it's shared. You have to use a klutzy web
interface to create and setup any new databases.

I had a problem with this before trying to install a groupware demo from
EPIware that used PHP but was encrypted with Zend, so I couldn't change the
code.

Will I have a problem with Typo3 and setting up MySQL without root access?
If so, will it be relatively easy to alter the code to work with a database
set up manually and externally?
