bin selber draufgekommen:
einfach in der ext_localconf.php der ext folgendes rauskommentieren:

dann klappts. und dazu noch in der typo3conf manuell die temp dateien
rauslöschen und schon funkt der RTE wie er soll
   
endlich gehts auch am MAC!
