[Typo3-UG Oesterreich] "th_specialelements" extension released!

hallo TUGA, hallo Typo-mom!

dank Martins Hilfe hab ich jetzt die letzten 3 Zeilen aus dem Typo3 core in 
die extension "rausziehen" können und gerade released.

für alle die nicht am TUGA meeting waren hier eine Kurzbeschreibung meiner 
neuen extension (Auszug aus dem manual)

Have you ever had the problem that the normal content-elements are not enough 
or to work intensive to adapt to your layout and styles? 

Sure, TemplaVoila is one solution, but it might be "overkill" for some 
projects and as it's quite hard to get into it i was searching a way in 
between.

The outcome is a new content element called "specialelements".

Primary advantages of this functionality are:

- you can use the existing table fields of tt_content (no new fields have to 
be added to tt_content)

- rendering of the content is not defined in Typoscript but in a template!

- different templates for normal view and print-view can be specified 

- the field names when the user edits a content element can be specified for 
each layout and for differnt languages

- switching from one layout to a different one is possible without loosing 
data 

 

Disadvantages:

- for customizing and expand functionality you need to know the $TCA data 
structure
