TV is currently actively developed and supported. I'm pretty sure it 
will be for future TYPO3 versions as well. If TV solves the problem for 
you, I would recommend to use it.

It would be helpful for us to have a list of things you have trouble 
with during the migration. Maybe we can help and maybe it helps to avoid 
such issues in the future.
