[TYPO3-windows] Can not connect to the Extension Repository

Hi,

 

I installed Apache 2.2.2, MySQL 5.0.21, PHP 4.4.2-pl1 with Typo3 4.01 -
works fine.

When I try to retrieve the plugins from the extension repository I'll
get an error message: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds
exceeded in
F:\XAMPP\xampp\htdocs\HMS\typo3\mod\tools\em\class.em_xmlhandler.php on
line 256. An other time I'll get the message: The extension list has not
changed remotely, it has thus not been fetched. 

Any tip you can provide is appreciated.
