I don't think it's a database problem. I already had several iterations
trying to hook up correctly to MySql and finally succeeded  (no more
database error messages) but the rootlevel is what is happening now.

Hmm, just a guess, but it looks like some database problem.
Go to the install dir (root/typo3/install) and make sure the database
settings are correct in the database setting section. Right DB, username and
password, etc.

Let me know if that works....

I am looking for an internship in Colorado for next summer, it's not too far
from here (Oklahoma City area), so I might be there soon :) I heard IBM is
in Boulder as well....
