ci provo, una curiosità, quando mi collego via ssh mi compare [root at 62] come 
faccio ad andare nella cartella home? (attualmento risco solo a scompattarla 
nella cartella root...

Infatti è un errore che non fa partire il configure.

Cmq ti dico che passi ho fatto io al massimo li rifai(rifate per chi è
interessato).

1) Scaricati il source di ImageMagick 6.3.3
   N.B: per comodità e puliza ho creato una cartella Download in home e
da li ho scaricato Image Magick.

2)Installato le librerie libpng-devel, libjpg-devel e ghostscript-devel
da yum

3)Scompatti imageMagick nella cartella home, ti verrà fuori la su a
cartella ImageMagick 6.3.3 entri dentro e lanci ./configure, poi make e
poi make install e il gioco dovrebbe essere fatto.

Ora prova a rifare tutto passo passo e vedi intato se va il ./configure
dovrebbe uscirti una lunghissima lista di roba
