[Typo3-UG Italy] Mod rewrite ecc..: Ragazzi sto impazzendo per qualche sciocchezza

No, è tutto ok, visto che poi, se digito l'URL 
http://www.miosito.it/cms/ (la directory dove si trova index.php di 
typo3) mi carica perfettamente l'home page, mi produce gli url 
"facilitati" di simulateStatic e li segue regolarmente (segno che 
l'.htaccess in /cms opportunamente decommentato funziona perfettamente).
Riepilogando, questo è l'albero della root del sito (http://www.miosito.it):

Io vorrei che digitando http://www.miosito.it apparisse l'home page così 
come avviene oggi se digito http://www.miosito.it/cms. Voi altri come 
fate? per caso quella che per me è la sottodirectory cms è in realtà la 
root del sito?
