Hello all,

For those of you who have followed our TYPO3 Khmer Community events, you
must know already that our community also has our own webpage which is
http://www.typo3cambodia.org/. So far we only use it for event
invitation like the usergroup meeting and we find that now it is time to
do something new to have it fit the development of our group and the
TYPO3 itself.

So what we are going to do soon is starting the project to build this
website completely new and which everyone can join to contribute. No
matter how much experience you have with TYPO3, it doesn't matter
because there will be one or more tasks that fit your skill. Let me go a
bit more in details what we need and what we are going to do:

First we need creative people which can help thinking of the concept and
how the website will look like (I'd personally like to see a mixture of
TYPO3 with Khmer culture taste). We also need graphic designers,
html/css developers (we want to build with html5 and css3, so it will be
a good lesson for you to learn), TYPO3 integrators, content editors,
translators, reviewers and testers, and even the scrum master. As you
see, we have many places for you to choose and taste. Don't worry that
you don't have a enough skill for the group you like to join, we will
try to find a team leader for your group to help you getting along. If
you are not interested in any of the teams described above but wish to
see how we work, that's also fine.

So long talking but when and where? We will start our first meeting this
weekend, Saturday 30th July 2011 from 8 until lunch at Web Essentials
office: House No. 86, Street 99, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, t +855 (0)23 996
604 http://www.web-essentials.asia/contact-us/location/. So far we have
a number of our core members that they will join and we have also done
some concept and a few design already, but don't worry that you are left
behind, we will present all we have to you first and we can decide
together to start with that or build something completely new.

Please note that this is a volunteer project and will not take one day
to get it done. So if you can't make it this weekend, you can still join
us later but we suggest you come on the first meeting to see how we will
communicate and share our work.

I'm looking forward to seeing you on the day and I'd be really happy to
work with you on this project to produce something together for the
community.

Best,
Visay

PS. You will have the option to list your name in the website and it
will be your portfolio ;-)
