[Typo3-UG Australia] Breaking DB

Hi Bernie,

In my experience the "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagegif()" error is caused by the fact that the GD library doesn't have GIF support because of the GIF patent. I have switched the various options to make Typo3 use PNG rather than GIF and those type of errors dissapear.

You can change the GIF -> PNG settings in the Tools -> Install module in the Typo3 backend. Look under the "All Configuration" section for settings such as thumbnails_png and gdlib_png.

Hope this helps,

Andrew

G'day Roger !

Hmmm. On 4 machines ? perhaps. I did try d/l various packages and
installing different ver on different machines.. But still get errors.

Heres my latest one:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagegif() in
C:\apache\htdocs\DNA\t3lib\class.t3lib_stdgraphic.php on line 2316

I assume thats because it cannot find a specific image ? I can edit
backend on this one - but not view the frontend.

How do I disable them ?

more than likely. Or user error ;)

Okay - will have another gander now.

Thanks

Bernie
