[TYPO3-workspace] "LIVE workspace" tab functionality

Hi Everyone,

First off, the new workspaces extension is great - so far improved leaps 
and bounds over the old system, as far as I'm concerned.  Thanks for 
sharing your time and talents with us all in the form of this project.

There are some behaviors of the module that, I've found, can be somewhat 
confusing for users, and I figured I'd run these things by you all to 
see if I can get some insight.  Say a user creates a versioned record, 
and subsequently publishes it to the LIVE workspace.  In the "LIVE 
workspace" tab of the Workspaces module, they then see the following:

* A list of all existing versions of their record.

I think I understand the utility here - the user may theoretically want 
to revert to an older version of their record at any time.  However, 
might it make sense to provide clean-up this list over time, based on 
some conf setting, to remove versions that are over a certain age? 
and/or perhaps to provide a conf setting for having the non-LIVE version 
removed from the database after swap?

* Indication that each item is currently in the "Editing" stage

This is confusing, as the term "Editing" doesn't very well describe the 
state of a version that has been replaced, and is ostensibly only still 
present as a record of history and to preserve the potential to revert, 
if necessary.  Would it make sense to place a system stage of "Replaced" 
or something like that on records in this state?

* A trash can icon ("Discard this version from workspace") that does not 
work.

* "Publish to LIVE" and "Send to stage..." options in the "choose 
Action" selector at the bottom of the grid

Again confusing, due to the record being in more of a "replaced" state 
than actually "Editing."  And of course, the records in the "LIVE 
workspace" tab already belong to the LIVE workspace.  Would it make 
sense to hide (or rename) these options in the "choose Action" box, when 
in the "LIVE workspace" tab?

 From the way I've seen clients react to the new workspace module, it 
seems like the "LIVE workspace" tab is the most confusing point in the 
UI, and does make for a general uncertainty when first using the module. 
  Generally, I think the system could be greatly improved by a few minor 
changes, if the development team agree.

I'm relatively new to contributing input like this, so please forgive me 
if I strike an unusual tone.
