Go to https://android-review.googlesource.com/ and you see what the
header could be for other sites. And removing that would save couple of
space. That's why the option exists. (android-review is the site for
which Gerrit was developed for)

Nevertheless, with the new Gerrit theme (see [1]), the effect there is
the same as for us: Only to logo gets removed.

Do you want to file an issue to introduce an option to remove that user
preference? I might pick it up at some point, but currently I'm too
overloaded (although I like contributing back to Gerrit very much).
