Normally, it happens instantaneously.

I think I've found the reason for it: some stale config files for the
SVN clients still lying around. I removed them, so they are
automatically generated again, and whoops, this resolves the issue in
both directions.

If anybody of you has created a forge project where the SVN was not
created, tell me, then I'll create it.
