Hi,

only a technical suggestion for the mirrors:
atm the mirrors analyse their logfiles and send statistics to typo3.org.
This is not reliable and adds work for the "sponsors" of TYPO3 and ter.

Just an idea, that on every download of an extension on a mirror a ping 
is sended to typo3.org (REST, SOAP, whatever), so the counter can be 
increased easy (and on-the-fly) and then the mirror sponsors have no 
additional work.
