A synchronized news mailinglist forum system is my vision since long.
Currently the knowlage is scattered all around in different tools of
different companies.

I also think that this could be done by open source tools. But nobody
has offered to set it up yet.

A forum-newsgroup bridge I am still missing as TYPO3 extension.
