I'm not a CSS guru, but at least I've IE 6 :)
Opening this page in IE6 gives me a javascript syntax error, at the 
beginning of typo3temp/javascript_b8aa52ab07.js:

Perhaps the <html> tag is not properly closed?

However, I view more or less the layout as in the gif
