Have you read up on the threads on TER2 here and the article on
typo3.org? Mirroring will be very straightforward and rely almost
exclusively on non-Typo3 tools like rsync for what they do best.
And the docs will probably be decoupled from t3.org and TER, so that
things will improve in this direction as well.
